BROTHERS OSBORNE, THE WAR AND TREATY PAIR AT 2022 CMA AWARDS

Though they were nominated for no awards at the event, the American Music Award-winning husband and wife vocal pair The War and Treaty (Michael and Tanya Trotter) awed the live crowd in attendance at downtown Nashville's Bridgestone Arena during their first-ever appearance on the Country Music Awards stage. Performing a version of the Rolling Stones' half-century old classic "It's Only Rock 'n Roll" with 2022 Vocal Duo of the Year nominees The Brothers Osborne, the quartet made an indelible impression on the proceedings.

Michael Trotter recalls sitting in the rafters at the event in 2021 and asking his wife if they would ever play the stage. A year later, they arrived.

"Every thing about this is a moment," stated Trotter to The Tennessean. His wife added, "I thought something like this could happen to us in five years, but we're here now."

Brothers Osborne's T.J. Osborne noted, "that performance reminds me of why we do music in the first place -- to have fun and entertain people.
